About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the main point of contact and own projects from planning and prioritization through delivery and stabilization
- Lead and assist with development, testing, and implementation of project requirements
- Use problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
- Review team progress and project issues, providing guidance and support for timely delivery
- Contribute to process improvement through project development and knowledge sharing
- Build relationships and collaborate with local teams and multiple teams across the organization
- Communicate and partner with stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
- Facilitate consistent use of Agile methodology for project delivery
- Present results, findings, risks, and recommendations to Agile Team leadership and Global Finance stakeholders
- Coach and develop a team of associates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, external financial reporting, audit, finance, or a combination
- Must work at the designated office location in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid policy
- Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or provide immigration-related support
- Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Preferred: 1+ year of workstream management
- Preferred: 1+ year of Agile project management experience
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience with Jira
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in product management
- Preferred: 1+ year of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and reconciliation system experience
