About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage data-adjacent risks within the Data Governance and Pricing team of Global Payment Networks
  • Develop overarching programs, controls, and processes to mitigate data risks across Global Payment Networks
  • Drive current and future strategy using analytical skills
  • Build and use models to test and validate data
  • Work with large and complex databases containing millions to billions of records
  • Lead and mentor junior analysts
  • Participate in the full life cycle of projects
  • Collaborate across business units
  • Mine data to produce crucial organizational information
  • Identify and implement process, data, and reporting improvements
  • Improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Conduct process analysis and testing
  • Extract and analyze data to evaluate product offerings
  • Consult on the design and implementation of production and data storage systems
  • Develop and implement strategic tests of products, initiatives, and marketing materials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field plus at least 6 years of experience performing data analytics, or Master’s Degree plus at least 4 years of experience performing data analytics
  • At least 4 years of experience performing professional data analysis work
  • At least 4 years of experience performing programming
  • Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline (preferred)
  • At least 7 years of professional data analysis work experience (preferred)
  • At least 4 years of experience with Python, R, Spark, or SQL (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience in people management (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of project management experience (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience in Tableau (preferred)
  • Proficient utilizing and developing within AWS service (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and conceptual-thinking abilities
  • Communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects independently and in teams
  • Understanding of applicable risk management frameworks, policies, and standards
