About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with cross-functional data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver customer-focused products
  • Use Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and other technologies to analyze large volumes of numeric and textual data
  • Build machine learning models through design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
  • Translate complex data science work into tangible business goals
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods
  • Develop personalized recommendation engines and high-scale machine learning solutions for web and mobile applications
  • Contribute to research involving foundation models, reinforcement learning, causal inference, transformer architectures, and recommender systems
  • Lead and develop talent while challenging conventional thinking and improving the status quo

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following by the scheduled start date: Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 6 years of data analytics experience; Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with a quantitative concentration plus 4 years of data analytics experience; or PhD in a quantitative field plus 1 year of data analytics experience
  • At least 1 year of experience leveraging open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis
  • At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning
  • At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases
  • Hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms
  • Experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning
  • Experience building, validating, and backtesting models
  • Experience retrieving, combining, and analyzing data from varied sources and structures
