About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with cross-functional data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver customer-focused products
Use Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and other technologies to analyze large volumes of numeric and textual data
Build machine learning models from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods
Develop personalized recommendation engines and customer experiences across web and mobile applications
Work on Foundation Models, Reinforcement Learning, Causal Inference, Transformer architectures, and Recommender Systems
Translate complex data science work into tangible business goals
Lead and develop talent while improving existing approaches

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 6 years of experience performing data analytics, or Master's Degree in a quantitative field/MBA with quantitative concentration plus 4 years, or PhD in a quantitative field plus 1 year
At least 1 year of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning
At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases
Experience with Python, Scala, or R for large scale data analysis
Experience with machine learning and SQL
Experience working with AWS
Experience with statistical modeling, validation, backtesting, clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning
Experience retrieving, combining, and analyzing data from varied sources and structures
Must obtain the required degree on or before the scheduled start date
