About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with software engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-performing, quality features for 100M+ customers
Provide technical leadership for mobile architecture and design patterns
Mentor engineers through feedback, code reviews, and platform-specific best practices
Identify and clear technical obstacles
Develop subject matter expertise in performance, accessibility, and architecture
Contribute to mobile architecture decisions, API design reviews, and reusable component development
Lead design and development of client Backend-for-Frontends (BFFs) and Server-Driven UI (SDUI) architectures
Lead engineering practices, including feature flags and staged rollouts
Champion adoption of agentic AI tools and mentor engineers in AI-native development practices
Make hands-on technical contributions using modern mobile ecosystem capabilities and advanced UI patterns
Establish standards for coding, testing, performance, accessibility, and user experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply
At least 3 years of experience building native mobile applications for Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift)
No employer sponsorship or immigration-related support is available for employment authorization
Preferred: 4+ years of experience building native mobile applications for Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift)
Preferred experience with modern native UI frameworks such as SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose
Preferred experience designing and building automated mobile testing suites using Swift Testing, XCUI, JUnit, or Espresso
Preferred experience with performance tuning and optimization on native mobile platforms
Preferred experience designing scalable mobile architectures and reusable component libraries
Preferred experience implementing and maintaining comprehensive automated testing
Preferred experience with modular architecture and modern state management patterns
Preferred experience designing and developing client Backend-for-Frontends (BFFs) using technologies such as GraphQL and gRPC/Protobuf
Preferred experience with Server-Driven UI (SDUI) architectures
Preferred experience with metrics-driven staged rollout and feature flag strategies
Preferred expertise with agentic AI coding tools and AI-assisted workflow patterns
Preferred familiarity with on-device ML frameworks such as CoreML or TensorFlow Lite
