About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with software engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-performing, quality features for 100M+ customers
Partner with product leaders to influence multi-quarter engineering roadmaps, including new capability builds, performance optimization, and platform modernization
Architect, build, and maintain core components and shared libraries for multiple teams
Contribute to standards for cross-platform consistency, scalability, and accessibility across mobile experiences
Serve as a subject matter expert in mobile performance, networking, or platform-specific UI frameworks
Partner with infrastructure and backend teams to define and improve mobile CI/CD, observability, and reliability engineering practices
Define strategies for leveraging agentic AI tools across multiple teams using open standards such as Model Context Protocol
Mentor and guide senior engineers in building AI-native workflows
Make high-leverage technical contributions using advanced mobile platform capabilities and UI patterns

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
At least 6 years of professional experience in software engineering, mobile architectural design and project execution across multiple teams
At least 6 years of experience building native mobile applications for Android or iOS
At least 3 years of experience architecting or leading the development of federated native mobile applications
Proven experience with modern native UI frameworks such as SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose
Proven experience designing and building automated mobile testing suites
Proven experience with modular architecture and modern state management patterns
Proven experience with performance tuning and optimization on native mobile platforms
Experience providing technical leadership for a large product area and influencing technical vision and roadmap
Experience leading the design of multi-team components or contributing to shared SDKs
Experience developing and scaling client Backend-for-Frontends (BFFs) and defining efficient data-fetching strategies using gRPC/Protobuf
Working knowledge of on-device ML frameworks such as CoreML or TensorFlow Lite
Expertise in release health indicators, metrics-driven staged rollout, and feature flag strategies
Expertise with agentic AI coding tools and developer productivity patterns
