About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Co-create innovative solutions to complex problems using product design expertise and customer and business understanding
Elevate the quality and maturity of Capital One’s design practice
Collaborate with cross-functional partners using tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems
Create design artifacts including journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes
Champion customers throughout the design process
Facilitate design process activities and balance customer needs with business goals
Identify opportunities and help teams navigate technical limitations
Foster relationships with partners, listen to diverse perspectives, influence outcomes, and gain alignment
Present design work and articulate insights and design decisions
Adhere to Capital One’s hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at the designated office location

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 3 years of experience in a Product Design role
At least 3 years of experience with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma
Strong portfolio demonstrating process, results, and impact
Experience across interaction, visual, and service design
Experience using appropriate tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems
Ability to create journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes
Human-centered design incorporating data, research insights, scalability, technical constraints, and feedback
Understanding and application of business and customer strategy
Ability to understand technology and data capabilities and emerging technologies
Ability to present work to audiences across levels and job functions
