Key responsibilities & impact

Leverage analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed data solutions and capabilities
Mine complex, voluminous, and varied data sources and platforms using open source and digital technologies
Build data solutions, tools, and capabilities enabling self-service frameworks for data consumers
Explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives
Partner with the business to provide consultancy
Translate business needs into tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization
Drive analysis providing meaningful insights on business strategies
Promote adherence to data quality management principles, including metadata, lineage, and business definitions
Collaborate with Tech teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance
Build and execute tools to monitor and report on data quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree specialized in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field plus at least 5 years of experience performing data analytics, or a Master’s Degree plus at least 3 years performing data analytics
Required degree expected to be obtained on or before the scheduled start date
At least 3 years of experience working with at least one scripting language
At least 3 years of experience utilizing a business intelligence visualization tool
At least 3 years of experience querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms
Scripting experience in Python, R, Spark, and SQL
Experience with data warehouses/SQL and unstructured data
Experience utilizing and developing within AWS services
Strong desire and experience with data in various forms
Preferred: Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline
Preferred: At least 4 years of experience coding in Python, R, Spark, or SQL
Preferred: At least 4 years of experience with process management and improvement methodologies such as Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma
Preferred: At least 2 years of experience utilizing and developing within AWS services
Preferred: At least 2 years of experience delivering Data Governance and Data Quality Management concepts and practices within the financial services industry
