About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Consolidate financial results across Card Servicing towers
- Report and communicate results to key business stakeholders
- Analyze performance and efficiency metrics and identify trends
- Analyze financial results, socialize drivers and impact, and provide recommendations to Card Operations business leaders
- Support building sustainable and efficient processes while integrating legacy Discover and legacy Capital One financial data and associates through automation and AI
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis
- Lead development of presentations communicating analysis results to senior audiences and leadership teams
- Analyze and explain key cost drivers and monthly variances, suggest business actions, and help manage regular reporting
- Identify and lead new analyses that generate insights into business performance and opportunities
- Partner with finance leaders, their teams, and other internal stakeholders
- Identify and drive process improvements to generate efficiencies
- Respond to ad-hoc requests and special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
- At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a combination
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to articulate analysis outcomes and relevant insights
- Ability to critically evaluate broad option sets and present recommendations
- Ability to work effectively under open-ended and tight timelines
- Financial leadership and ability to leverage financial insights to influence actions and results
- Ability to communicate analytic insights through clear, high-impact, executive-ready presentations
- Ability to build relationships across the organization
- Comfort working in white space
- No sponsorship for a new applicant for employment authorization
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
- Preferred: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and financial modeling
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in financial services, banking, or technology industries
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience partnering with senior leaders and internal stakeholders
