About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive the Debit Horizontal Management function across strategy, operations, and risk management
Perform governance and strategic management across all Debit payment channels
Work with key stakeholders to refine Capital One’s Debit strategies
Advance the well-managed agenda by using technology to streamline initiatives, mitigate risks, and enhance customer and associate experiences
Generate strategic insights and maintain essential processes for Debit operations
Govern Debit-related events and issues company-wide and escalate major risks to Senior Management
Establish routines with Operations, Initiation, and Advisors to monitor operational metrics, controls, and risks
Collaborate with ecosystem partners and lead insightful discussions with leadership
Resolve Debit-related events by assessing upstream and downstream impacts
Drive disciplined execution and continuous improvement across processes, controls, and operational practices
Identify opportunities to streamline or automate monitoring processes
Manage, build, and influence internal and third-party relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 2 years of project or process management experience
At least 1 year of banking operations or payments experience
At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience (preferred)
At least 2 years of experience working with internal and external stakeholders (preferred)
At least 3 years of project or process management experience (preferred)
Six Sigma, Lean, BPM, or PMP Certification (preferred)
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills
Ability to execute priorities effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to manage, build networks, and influence internal and third-party relationships
High attention to detail and sound judgment
