About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Co-create innovative solutions to complex problems and influence product strategy
Apply interaction, visual and service design skills with cross-functional partners
Inform the use of appropriate tools, platforms, frameworks and design systems
Create journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs and prototypes
Lead design projects, direct and delegate work for junior team members
Build partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders and mentor team members
Mature the overall product design practice at Capital One
Navigate partner and stakeholder needs using data, research insights, scalability and technology constraints
Focus teams on customer-centered solutions and inclusive design
Apply customer, competitor and market insights to business challenges
Use knowledge of technology, data capabilities and emerging technologies to address technical limitations
Foster collaboration across lines of business and organizational partners
Present work to senior-level audiences and influence strategic decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 5 years of experience in a Product Design role
At least 5 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
Preferred: at least 6 years of experience in a Product Design role
Preferred: at least 6 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
Experience working with and contributing to an established design system
Experience collaborating with product, tech and business partners
Experience leading design projects or teams
Experience working in heavily regulated, data heavy problem spaces
Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership, process, results and impact
Must not require new employment authorization sponsorship from Capital One
