About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and execute associate-facing campaigns for critical moments throughout the year
- Develop and launch comprehensive internal communication campaigns aligned with Card strategic priorities
- Use storytelling to drive engagement and culture
- Partner with Creative to elevate stories through digital and multimedia platforms
- Collaborate with Executive Communications to uncover departmental wins and translate them into Card-wide news
- Partner with Chiefs of Staff, HR, and other cross-functional partners to curate and deliver timely, targeted messaging
- Write, publish, and distribute targeted content across email, Slack, intranet, newsletters, and events
- Interview stakeholders and translate complex business initiatives into clear, human-centered stories
- Maintain the editorial calendar for Card-wide communications
- Track, analyze, and report channel metrics and feedback
- Leverage emerging productivity and AI tools to streamline content drafting and editorial workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation abilities and editorial judgment
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build communication plans and align cross-functional partners in a complex, matrixed organization
- Proven track record managing end-to-end projects with urgency, meeting tight deadlines, and delivering high-quality work on time and within budget
- Ability to navigate fast-paced environments with adaptability, sound judgment, and composure under pressure
- Strong stakeholder orientation and trusted, collaborative working relationships
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 2 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or newsroom/journalism settings
- BA in Communications, Journalism, English, or Marketing preferred
- At least 3 years of experience as a communications specialist preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing experience role or financial services preferred
- Proven track record managing digital communication channels and email newsletter tools preferred
- Background in newsroom/journalistic writing preferred
- Exceptional project management and stakeholder influencing skills preferred
- Experience using data and engagement analytics to adjust communication strategies preferred
