About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Learn and develop core product management skills across human-centered design, business focus, technology, and transformational leadership
  • Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria and identify additional research needs
  • Break down business epics into features and user stories, driving teams toward minimal viable products
  • Use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure products and features meet business needs
  • Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps while following processes and procedures to manage risk
  • Conduct research and develop features using new and evolving technology in an agile environment
  • Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists, subject-matter experts, and partner teams to build solutions
  • Deliver well-managed product platforms by understanding technology trends and architecture strategy
  • Participate in horizontal forums and build relationships across tech teams, designers, internal stakeholders, and partner teams
  • Articulate product roadmaps, deliver business value, share results with stakeholders, and become a product matter expert
  • Support the Bedrock Payments platform powering Capital One’s current and future financial products and Card payments experiences across iOS, Android, Web, and Empath

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of product management experience or at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • Preferred: 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences
  • Preferred: 1+ years working with cross functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process
