About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver the next generation of the Recoveries platform supporting Capital One’s $3 billion Recoveries business
  • Modernize existing processes through automation to improve efficiency and performance
  • Learn current processes and envision future-state process possibilities
  • Partner with operations, business analysis, and technology teams to define destination-state architecture and internal customer experiences
  • Manage the rollout of modernization initiatives
  • Collaborate with technology teams to develop acceptance criteria and identify research needs
  • Break business epics into features and user stories, driving toward minimal viable products
  • Use hypothesis-driven data assessment to validate business and product needs
  • Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps while following risk-management processes
  • Research and develop features using new and evolving technology in an agile environment
  • Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists, and subject-matter experts
  • Deliver product platforms aligned with technology trends and architecture strategy
  • Build relationships across technology, design, stakeholder, and partner teams
  • Articulate and communicate product roadmaps and business value

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of product management experience, or at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering (preferred)
  • 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer-facing digital products (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences (preferred)
  • 1+ years working with cross-functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process (preferred)
