About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute test procedures for critical technology functions, cloud-based infrastructure, cybersecurity, risk management, applications, and third-party management
- Perform business activity risk assessments and relevant testing
- Communicate issues, risks, and recommendations to all levels of management
- Operate independently and complete work on schedule to high-quality standards
- Prepare clear, organized, and complete audit documentation
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and the extended Audit group
- Leverage data and analytical tools during audit planning and fieldwork
- Follow up on agreed audit actions and management commitments
- Seek learning opportunities to enhance role-related skills and competencies
- Audit critical technology functions, including technology implementations, application controls, and cybersecurity risks related to the Global Payment Network
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 2 years of experience in technology, cybersecurity, technology auditing, systems risk management, technology risk assessments, resilience engineering, chaos engineering, site reliability engineering, or a combination
- Preferred: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or relevant cloud/cyber certifications such as AWS certifications or CISSP
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or a professional services firm serving large-bank clients
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience auditing or performing cyber or information security
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and controls, or 1+ year conducting audits of controls in cloud-based environments
- Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or provide immigration-related support
- Ability to work hybrid, typically 3 days per week in person at one of the listed offices
