Key responsibilities & impact

Build strategies supporting the GPN leadership team's priorities and influencing new and existing platforms, breakthrough technology, and concepts
Identify business challenges and opportunities and use analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
Work closely with Pricing, Corporate Development, Sales, and other Capital One colleagues to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability
Orchestrate and drive deal analytics, pricing, and negotiations across strategic network relationships
Work in deal-specific pods around live negotiations
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive problem solving and alignment
Communicate holistic, cross-functional information in a concise and coherent package
Move quickly to achieve outcomes, not just produce analysis
Support Global Payment Networks' acceptance strategy across the Discover, PULSE, and Diners Club International networks

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field or a Master's Degree in a quantitative field/MBA with a quantitative concentration, with the required degree obtained by the scheduled start date
Quantitative field may include Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
1+ years of experience in statistical model building
1+ years of experience in market research
1+ years of experience in SQL querying
2+ years of experience in business analysis
1+ years of experience in consulting
Ideal candidates will have payments experience in industry, top-tier consulting firms, or investment banks
Ability to make decisions and solve problems using analytics
Strong quantitative orientation
Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity
Impeccable written and oral communication and strategic influencing skills
Ability to drive agreement through interpersonal and negotiation skills
Successful track record in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
