About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the strategic transformation of Enterprise Risk Management
- Oversee project proposals, work plans, research, and qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Manage ambiguity and drive clarity among teams, partners, and stakeholders
- Craft storylines articulating findings, insights, and recommendations
- Liaise with senior leadership to drive organizational action
- Develop relationships with business leaders to improve go-to-market decision-making
- Manage, mentor, and support less experienced associates
- Lead internal initiatives including recruiting, staffing, diversity and inclusion, and social activities
- Build relationships with business partners to advance Risk Management initiatives
- Advise on efficient and well-managed risk management processes that improve customer experience and competitive differentiation
- Influence decision-making across business units and functional teams
- Use executive forums and quarterly reporting to drive engagement with strategy
- Provide thought leadership and promote best-practice sharing in research, strategy, and design
- Drive collaboration across the Enterprise Risk Organization
- Promote Capital One and Enterprise Risk Organization culture and values
- Develop business strategies supporting growth, profitability, and competitive success
- Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently and execute product strategy
- Partner with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other colleagues to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
- At least 5 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
- At least 3 years of experience performing people management
- At least 3 years of experience performing project management
- Masters Degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in people management preferred
- 3+ years of experience in product development preferred
- 3+ years of experience in consulting preferred
- 3+ years of experience in financial modeling preferred
- 3+ years of experience in economic forecasting preferred
- Strong quantitative and analytical orientation
- Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity
- Solid people leadership experience
- Strong executive communication and strategic influencing skills
- Clear results orientation
