About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide primary compliance support to the ‘New to Credit’ credit card business segment
- Implement compliance strategy within the Compliance Management Program framework
- Serve as a strategic partner and provide proactive advisory during the product development lifecycle
- Partner with business leaders to integrate compliance risk into business strategy and growth initiatives
- Provide guidance on controls for new-to-credit products
- Advise lines of business on policies, standards, procedures, products, processes, controls, monitoring, remediation, and regulatory changes
- Identify internal and external risks and provide remediation guidance or escalate to subject matter experts
- Maintain subject matter expertise on applicable laws, regulations, and the Compliance Risk Management Framework
- Perform and review control assessments and conduct targeted control validations and regulatory reviews
- Evaluate Internal Audit, regulatory exam, and self-identified issues and events for compliance impacts
- Perform UDAAP validations and reviews
- Participate in compliance testing and third-party compliance activities
- Assist with Compliance Program monitoring, reporting, training, data analysis, and governance
- Participate in LAUNCH and other reports used by Senior Leadership
- Travel to various Capital One locations as necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree, or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit or Legal
- Strong knowledge of Card Operations, Servicing, Systems and Platforms
- Ability to travel to various Capital One locations as necessary
- Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
- Preferred: Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Preferred: 8+ years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit or Legal
- Preferred: CRCM, ACAMS, or CIPP certification
