Key responsibilities & impact

Enable continued delivery of the technology organization’s top priorities
Deliver Cyber capabilities that provide Capital One customers with secure experiences
Work on capabilities including AI, Data Protection, Cyber Operations and Security Information and Event Management, Cloud Security, and Cyber Governance and Risk
Potentially lead a team of program managers
Simplify technically complex topics and drive decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science
Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle
Collaborate across functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries
Own business or technical vision, secure commitments on deliverables, and unblock teams to deliver business impact

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree
At least 6 years of experience in program management
At least 3 years of people management experience
Experience with problem solving and critical thinking
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
Quantitative approach to problem solving and collaborative implementation of holistic solutions
Ability to simplify technically complex topics and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives
Background in Cyber or Cloud implementations
Strong technical background, ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services
Ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle
Exceptional cross-team collaboration across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries
Preferred: Master’s Degree in a related technical or Program Management field
Preferred: 5+ years designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
Preferred: 3+ years delivering Cybersecurity solutions and capabilities
Preferred: 3+ years building distributed systems and highly available services using AWS cloud computing services/architecture
Preferred: 3+ years building highly scalable mobile products and platforms
Preferred: 3+ years of Agile delivery experience
Preferred: 7+ years delivering large and complex programs, owning business or technical vision, collaborating with large cross-functional teams, securing commitments on deliverables, and unblocking teams to deliver business impact
Preferred: 2+ years implementing Cyber Operations technologies
Preferred: 1+ year building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment
Preferred: 1+ year working with AI technologies
