About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Line of Business, Financial Planning, Corporate Development, Policy, and Accounting and Reporting teams on enterprise and business initiatives, projects, and acquisitions
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies and reduce risk
- Lead a team responsible for accurate accounting, financial reporting, and analytics
- Support associate training, development, and evaluation
- Develop subject matter expertise in technical accounting for products and operations
- Consult with internal partners on accounting treatment and financial reporting impacts
- Review and maintain documentation supporting SEC and regulatory filings and disclosures
- Provide technical support for accounting disclosures and compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and regulatory requirements
- Implement risk management for processes, procedures, and standards
- Coordinate external audits and support internal audit reviews
- Support SOX and regulatory compliance requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or military experience
- At least 7 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or a combination
- At least 3 years of experience in people management
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred)
- 9+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance, or a combination (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in people management (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with financial institutions (preferred)
- Must not require new employment authorization sponsorship
