About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the conversational design vision for the AI agent servicing experience
  • Create “golden dialogues” and map conversational journeys
  • Make AI interactions feel natural, transparent, and human
  • Co-create innovative solutions to complex customer and business problems
  • Drive product strategy and contribute to a high-performing design team culture
  • Craft compelling, accurate, and accessible digital content experiences
  • Create content audits, taxonomy and terminology lists, content guidelines and patterns, content governance models, and microcopy for websites, user interfaces, emails, push notifications, and chatbot responses
  • Lead, mentor, and consult with designers and advance the design discipline
  • Shape product direction and outcomes using content design expertise, user insights, and business understanding
  • Drive alignment across product, technology, and business partners
  • Advocate for human-centered methodologies across the portfolio
  • Manage the design portfolio, including pivoting, redirecting, and adjusting scope as needed
  • Own problem-solving approaches and balance competing interests and priorities
  • Engage cross-organizational expertise to advance workstream projects
  • Present work across organizational levels and job functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 6 years of experience with content design, content strategy, or UX writing
  • At least 6 years of experience working with and contributing to an established design system
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership, process, results, and impact
  • Strong background in conversation design
  • Experience training and monitoring LLMs
  • Experience with complex problem spaces requiring systems thinking and logic mapping
  • Established writing and user experience design expertise
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and consulting with others
  • Ability to apply data, research insights, design expertise, and human-centered methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of products, processes, customers, competitors, and broader market trends
  • Ability to collaborate with product, technology, business, and organizational partners
  • Ability to present work across levels and job functions
  • Preferred: at least 8 years of experience with content design, content strategy, or UX writing
  • Preferred: at least 8 years of experience collaborating with product, technology, and business partners
  • Preferred: experience leading design projects or teams
  • Preferred: proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  • Preferred: experience working in heavily regulated, data-heavy problem spaces
  • Must not require new employment authorization sponsorship from Capital One
