About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Expand the DBX Local Library’s design components and patterns to support a team of 20 product designers
  • Own the strategy to migrate from the current CML design system to the enterprise design system
  • Work horizontally to create the AI experience point of view for DBX
  • Leverage expertise across interaction, visual, and service design to elevate the design practice
  • Oversee and optimize the use of tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems
  • Develop artifacts including vision stories, journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes
  • Lead, mentor, and consult with designers to mature the design discipline and culture
  • Shape product direction and outcomes using content design expertise, user insights, and business understanding
  • Drive alignment across product, technology, and business partners
  • Advocate for human-centered methodologies using data, research insights, and design expertise
  • Manage the design portfolio and adjust scope based on products, processes, customers, competitors, and market trends
  • Own problem-solving approaches and balance competing interests and priorities
  • Collaborate across the organization to advance workstream projects and solve strategic challenges
  • Present work across levels and job functions to influence stakeholders and achieve desired results

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 6 years of experience in a Product Design role
  • At least 6 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership, process, results, and impact
  • Experience working with and contributing to an established design system
  • Experience collaborating with product, tech, and business leaders
  • Experience leading design projects or teams
  • Experience working in heavily regulated, data-heavy problem spaces
