Senior Manager, Product Manager – Spend Controls Lead, Business Cards & Payments

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Spend Controls Team within the Employee Spend pillar of Business Cards & Payments
- Lead product managers and analysts driving the pre-authorization spend controls roadmap
- Own card management and virtual card number (VCN) strategy
- Lead the technical migration of the spend-limit decisioning platform onto modern infrastructure
- Partner with engineering, design, risk, and Enterprise platform teams to deliver spend controls
- Ship controls that influence customer behavior and support real-time transaction decisioning
- Share a roadmap and prioritization forum with the Expense Management team
- Demonstrate proficiency in Capital One's Product Framework: Human Centered, Business Focused, Technology Driven, Integrated Problem Solving, and Transformational Leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative field, Business, or Marketing, with the required degree obtained by the scheduled start date
- OR Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 4 years of Product Management experience
- Demonstrated interest and aptitude for AI
- Experience incorporating AI into personal projects, using AI-driven development environments such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot, or building automations using AI agents is valued
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products preferred
