About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join Capital One’s Premium Design - Rewards team within the Experience Design organization
Co-create innovative solutions to complex problems
Drive product strategy and contribute to a thriving team culture of high-performing designers
Leverage interaction, visual and service design expertise to elevate the design practice
Help oversee and optimize tools, platforms, frameworks and design systems with cross-functional partners
Develop artifacts including vision stories, journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs and prototypes
Lead, mentor and consult with designers to mature the design discipline and culture
Shape product direction and outcomes using content design expertise, user insights and business understanding
Drive alignment across product, technology and business partners
Advocate for human-centered methodologies using data, research insights and design expertise
Manage and shape the design portfolio based on products, processes, customers, competitors and market trends
Own problem-solving approaches and balance competing interests and priorities
Engage organizational partners to support workstream projects and deliver results
Present work across levels and job functions, integrating design frameworks, data and research insights

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 6 years of experience in a Product Design role
At least 6 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
Preferred: At least 8 years of experience in a Product Design role
Preferred: At least 8 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
Experience working with and contributing to an established design system
Experience collaborating with product, tech and business leaders
Experience leading design projects or teams
Experience working in heavily regulated, data heavy problem spaces
Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership, process, results and impact
