About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage international regulatory reporting and complex global exams for the Global Payment Network, including major international audits
  • Drive post-exam insights into continuous, systemic control enhancements
  • Lead and orchestrate international change management frameworks to comply with shifting international laws
  • Facilitate country entrance and exits in line with business strategy
  • Design and deploy a unified regulatory engagement model with operational guardrails and centralized oversight
  • Coordinate and drive alignment across a globally distributed network of teams
  • Drive scalability and optimize resource allocation by aligning regulatory strategies with commercial priorities, jurisdictional risk profiles, and enterprise risk appetite
  • Partner with Business, Product, and Technology teams to build enabling environments globally
  • Translate complex international regulatory trends into technical specifications and market-leading offerings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial services risk management
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management
  • At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering with, and interacting with internal business clients
  • At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
  • Preferred: At least 8 years of experience in financial services risk management
  • Preferred: At least 7 years of experience leading cross-functional projects and programs within a risk management organization
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Master's Certificate in Project Management
  • Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional teams, establishing strategic direction, and managing stakeholder expectations
