Define and evangelize a bold technical vision for the domain
Decompose complex problems into practical and operational solutions
Ensure technical design and implementation quality
Advise on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional system characteristics

Handle multiple projects and balance time to maximize impact
Mentor engineers and coach the engineering and product community

Collaborate with senior engineering and architecture leaders on platform strategy and API standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture
At least 7 years of experience with enterprise architecture and design patterns
At least 7 years of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
At least 7 years of experience with data architecture
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred
Preferred: 10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture
10+ years of professional coding experience in Go, Java, Javascript/Typescript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala
8+ years of experience with databases and database management systems
10+ years of professional experience across the full system development lifecycle
8+ years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
10+ years of experience with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integration
5+ years of experience mentoring senior engineers and driving professional development within technical teams
2+ years of experience leading cross-domain architectural reviews and establishing coding and design standards
Expertise in strategic application of agentic AI coding tools
Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and demonstrated experience applying AI tools
