About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and evolve a scalable, high-performing People Operations function.
  • Own People infrastructure, including systems, data and reporting.
  • Maximise the value of Deel and HiBob for high-quality decision-making.
  • Use technology, automation and AI to simplify processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and bulk onboarding.
  • Lead operational transformation initiatives improving scalability and employee and manager experience.
  • Design and implement reward strategies covering compensation, benefits and incentive frameworks.
  • Partner with Finance and senior leadership on compensation planning, benchmarking and cost management.
  • Ensure benefits are competitive, cost-effective and aligned with employee needs.
  • Establish governance and consistency in reward decisions.
  • Own and evolve the Employee Engagement strategy using surveys, insights and action planning.
  • Translate engagement and People data into insights and prioritised actions.
  • Identify risks such as attrition and cost.
  • Partner with senior leaders on accountability, capability and follow-through.
  • Lead people-related M&A activity, including due diligence and integration planning.
  • Establish scalable People governance, operational standards and controls across the global team.
  • Deputise for the SVP, People as required.
  • Lead, manage and develop the People Operations team.
  • Collaborate with People Partnering and the wider People team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in People Operations, HR Shared Services or similar, ideally within a start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Experience building and scaling HR processes, systems and frameworks from the ground up.
  • Hands-on experience with HR platforms such as Deel and HiBob.
  • Interest in using technology and AI to transform People operations.
  • Strong reward expertise, including compensation, benefits and benchmarking.
  • Exposure to reward consultancies and tools such as WTW.
  • Experience owning Employee Engagement programmes.
  • Understanding of how engagement links to performance and retention.
  • Experience supporting M&A activity, including due diligence, post-merger integration and bulk onboarding.
  • Experience working with Finance on budgets and cost management.
  • Confidence using data to drive decisions.
  • Experience reporting to C-suite or VP-level stakeholders.
  • Strong experience leading and developing teams.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential matters with maturity and discretion.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Ability to work comfortably with ambiguity and take ownership.
  • Strong stakeholder management and constructive challenge skills.
