About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop expertise in assigned product portfolio features, benefits, and value
- Present product portfolio to clinical and economic call points using situational sales methodology
- Build consultative relationships with clinicians, supply chain partners, and end users
- Maintain positive working relationships with Distribution and an active presence at top accounts
- Demonstrate product applications and functionality and ensure customers are competent in product usage
- Maintain knowledge of industry, competitive landscape, healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors, and competitive products
- Attend sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and tradeshows
- Travel overnight for regional and divisional events, customer meetings and presentations, customer education, training meetings, and national sales meetings
- Complete administrative tasks including expense management and new business forms
- Manage contract compliance related to capital equipment
- Conduct patient/resident sizing in long-term care and nursing homes for absorbent hygiene products
- Provide product support in direct patient-facing situations while maintaining patient/resident dignity
- Meet or exceed field activity metrics set by sales leadership
- Use digital technology platforms and data to analyze the region and target accounts
- Document regional field activity and pipeline via CRM platform
- Support growth initiatives, coordinate day-to-day account activities, and ensure a consistent customer experience
- Partner with the Field Sales Team, Strategic Accounts Team, and marketing groups
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare or sales
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong prioritization, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, field-driven role
- Comfortable working in clinical environments with direct patient interaction
- Self-starter who is passionate about healthcare
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize
- Ability to successfully engage and interact with customers
- Proficiency in digital applications and remote selling technologies, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com
- Ability to listen and articulate in both oral and written communication
- Excellence in process management and organizational agility
- Ideal candidate based in the Los Angeles/Orange County area and must live near a major airport
- Ability to travel anywhere within the United States on short notice, often with less than 24-hour notice
