About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive sales and achieve financial commitments from customers in an assigned geography/territory by developing and executing market strategies
- Identify new markets and customers
- Monitor business profitability, including reviewing accounts for issues or anomalies regarding rebates and returns
- Maintain working relationships with customers
- Negotiate local contracts, including costing agreements with manufacturers
- Ensure optimal service levels and hold internal teams accountable for customer service, operations, pricing, and inventory
- Validate timely contact loading, correct contract backdating, and contract integrity
- Manage inventory to ensure customers fulfill inventory commitments
- Submit and process account maintenance for customer accounts in the internal system
- Provide technical product support through demonstrations, samples, and hospital staff training
- Assist in collecting aging Accounts Receivable as necessary
- Build and sustain relationships with key IDNs
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-8 years of experience, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Experience working in complex sales environments with demonstrated success
- Successful negotiation, strategic planning, and organizational skills
- Strong ability to multi-task and manage the sales process with many competing priorities
- Entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, and a desire to conquer complex sales processes
- Strong communication & listening skills
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record
- Experience working with Microsoft applications (excel) and aptitude to use various business tools (i.e. salesforce)
- Customer/vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations).
