About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Secure and maintain distribution channels and grow Cardinal Health Brand and Preferred National Brand products within free-standing Ambulatory Surgery Centers
- Develop and manage key ASC customer relationships to achieve sales goals in the assigned territory
- Cold call, prospect, and build relationships to increase account penetration, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with national account contacts, GPO representatives, vendors, and internal business units
- Conduct data analytics and analyze market penetration across new and existing clients
- Coordinate pre-call planning and delegate data collection
- Determine client pricing based on Group Purchasing Agreements, identify affordable alternatives, and determine rebate eligibility
- Complete administrative tasks and training, including expense reports, pipeline management, SFDC records, and market feedback
- Demonstrate product applications, functionality, and use during account in-services
- Attend sales meetings, training programs, conventions, trade shows, and regional, divisional, sector, national, and regional events
- Maintain required sales activity levels, including visits, calls, and products presented per account
- Assist with distribution order support, coordination, back-orders, and related service issues
- Maintain knowledge of the industry and competitive landscape, including GPOs, healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors, and competitive products
- Travel throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel, and maintain an active in-person presence at top accounts
- Report to the Region Director, ASC
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience preferred
- Experience in sales, account/relationship management, or customer success preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to small and large groups
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Critical thinker with a problem-solving attitude
- Resilient and confident attitude with ability to overcome obstacles
- Technology proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel up to 50% within territory, including overnight stays
- Customer/vendor credentialing may be required, potentially including vaccinations
