Key responsibilities & impact

Lead end-to-end testing and product validation across firmware, mobile applications, and cloud services from requirements through release readiness and field feedback
Define overall test strategy, responsibilities, coverage expectations, and entry and exit criteria across unit, domain, integration, and end-to-end testing
Lead a lean team responsible for system integration testing, end-to-end validation, and the test lab
Develop capabilities in manual testing, automation, and AI-assisted testing
Ensure requirements are testable and traceable to test plans, cases, and results
Govern testing approach across engineering departments
Validate interfaces, cross-component behavior, and complete user journeys across firmware, mobile, and cloud, including compatibility, reliability, and regression
Drive automated integration and end-to-end testing, repeatable test environments, and effective use of lab resources
Introduce AI-assisted testing throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, integrating capabilities into development workflows, CI/CD, and quality gates with human review and measurable benefits
Coordinate defect triage, ownership, resolution tracking, fixes, and regression coverage
Provide evidence-based quality assessment covering test completion, open defects, residual risks, and release recommendation
Analyze escaped defects and coverage gaps with Customer Success and the Product-led beta program
Drive improvements in testing and development practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience leading testing or QC teams for products combining embedded software, mobile applications, and backend services
Strong expertise in integration testing, end-to-end validation, regression, and test automation
Experience defining test strategies, managing test environments, and using defect and test-management tools
Understanding of the overall SDLC and practical experience integrating testing into development workflows and CI/CD
Experience introducing AI into testing within an overall SDLC framework, including test generation, automation, defect analysis, and regression optimization, with human oversight and measurable improvements in quality and efficiency
Ability to drive testing standards and accountability across teams without direct reporting authority
Strong analytical, prioritization, communication, and people-management skills
A practical, hands-on approach suited to a lean organization
