About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and facilitate provider requests for processing and scheduling of patient orders, testing and referrals
- Follow up and resolve outstanding tests, orders and referrals to assure timely and accurate scheduling, processing and availability of results for providers
- Communicate with patients, staff, and outside facilities via telephone, mail, patient portal, and other methods
- Manage outstanding tasks in an organized manner
- Complete work functions timely and efficiently
- Follow up with patients and facilities regarding urgent patient needs and continuity of timely patient care
- Identify and report unmet urgent patient needs
- Follow up with providers and/or practice manager on outstanding documents preventing processing of tests, orders, or referrals
- Respond to patient and provider needs and process requests accurately and promptly
- Link documents accurately and promptly to patient charts for provider information
- Work closely with the clinic medical director, physicians, nurses, care manager, medical records, and other providers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Meet The Wright Center for Community Health and its affiliated entity The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education EOS© People Analyzer Tool
- Buy in and experience working in the EOS® model (strongly preferred)
- Mission-oriented; represents the enterprise in a professional manner while demonstrating organizational pride
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in healthcare (2-5 years)
- Demonstrated appropriate knowledge of/for identifying medical documents (labs, tests, x rays, etc.)
- Experience in a physician office practice setting preferred
- Medent experience a plus
- HIPAA policies regarding privacy and security of patient health information must be exercised at all times
