About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and enhance forecasting models for site randomization and enrollment trends
- Build algorithms to match patients to or rank patients for appropriate clinical trials
- Create and refine Bayesian inference, regression analysis, and time-series forecasting models
- Monitor production machine-learning models for bias and performance drift
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytical workflows using AWS Athena, Redshift, SageMaker, and dbt
- Ensure data-science practices comply with HIPAA, GDPR, and other privacy regulations
- Collaborate with machine-learning engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate models into products
- Communicate data insights and recommendations to the clinical research community
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on data science or analytics experience, preferably in a healthcare, clinical research, or other highly regulated data environment
- Strong foundation in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, including Bayesian methods, regression analysis, and time-series forecasting
- Proficiency in evaluating model performance and bias, implementing AI monitoring tools and bias mitigation strategies
- Advanced programming skills in Python, including libraries such as scikit-learn, PyMC, and mlforecast
- Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with dbt
- Hands-on experience with AWS Athena, Redshift, and SageMaker
- Experience working with sensitive healthcare or clinical trial data under HIPAA and GDPR
- Excellent teamwork and meticulous verbal/written communication abilities
- Understanding of clinical research or health-tech environments is highly valuable
- Must be able to work remotely within the United States
