About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify new expansion opportunities within the assigned US client book of business
  • Serve as primary point of contact for client relationship management, strategy, and growth
  • Manage a multi-million-dollar book of business comprising small to mid-size pharmaceutical clients
  • Lead client strategy and planning between internal cross-functional teams
  • Track stakeholder status and communicate business status internally and externally
  • Oversee and manage internal and external client escalations
  • Support sales negotiations through scoping, orals, pricing input, and contracting
  • Develop and maintain strategic client growth plans, including renewals, upsells, and referenceability
  • Identify opportunities to expand into new client brands
  • Build and grow referenceable clients
  • Support and oversee budget books, client invoicing, and revenue capture activities
  • Lead Account Support Managers and manage people on client accounts
  • Provide industry expertise, insights, and coaching on pharmaceutical commercialization topics
  • Research client needs, product offerings, competitive threats, issues, and challenges
  • Position a platform model to biopharma clients
  • Independently lead key Account Management initiatives
  • Travel for client visits, industry conferences, and product training
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA in business, healthcare, computer science or equivalent college degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 5–8 years of experience in sales of healthcare enterprise software
  • 5–8 years’ experience in a Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical or HUB Services
  • Knowledge and experience in sales of healthcare enterprise software, patient services, brand agency or related areas
  • Documented track record of managing technology and service programs
  • Documented record of meeting and exceeding execution/success targets
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, people management, team building, and organization skills
  • Ability to drive strategic partnerships by relating to client needs and producing creative and innovative solutions
  • Ability to work as an effective account leader and collaborative team member
  • Strong understanding of best practices in healthcare account management
  • Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods
  • Ability to occasionally exert about 20 lbs. of force
  • Good manual dexterity using computers, laptops, mobile devices, and common office equipment
  • Overnight business travel required
  • Must be flexible on schedule and hours
