About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build reports and dashboards that enable stakeholders to self-monitor their business area
  • Identify underlying business drivers behind metric movement
  • Partner with stakeholders to use data for strategic business decisions
  • Identify relevant KPIs and build ongoing tracking for them
  • Build and maintain monthly financial reports with light analysis across revenue, margin, and cost lines
  • Retire or simplify reports that no longer drive decisions
  • Analyze marketing efficiency, including CAC, LTV, spend efficiency, and channel performance
  • Analyze merchandising, revenue, profit, margin, product, and category performance
  • Analyze customer cohort behavior, retention, repeat purchases, and Autoship performance
  • Analyze Care Services productivity, throughput, service-level metrics, and staffing efficiency
  • Turn stakeholder input into concrete, testable hypotheses and measurable levers
  • Build tracking before levers are pulled, close the loop on results, and adjust hypotheses or tracking as needed
  • Work directly with stakeholders from individual contributors to senior leadership
  • Translate technical and data-heavy findings into plain language
  • Understand table structure and data model design sufficiently to direct re-engineering of existing tables
  • Write complex, efficient SQL independently
  • Use Claude, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Hex in the everyday analytical workflow
  • Escalate data model or table-structure issues rather than repeatedly working around them

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a closely related analytical role
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple functional areas of a business, such as marketing, product, finance, and operations

  • Working understanding of relational table structure and data modeling concepts
  • Proven experience with modern reporting tools such as Hex, Looker, and Omni
  • Practical, hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar from day one
  • E-commerce or DTC experience strongly preferred; service-business experience also valuable
  • A specific example of a report or metric built that changed a stakeholder's decision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfort presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels
  • Track record indicating genuine interest in developing analytical craft rather than pursuing a management track
  • Degree in a quantitative, business, or related field preferred
