Key responsibilities & impact

Implement, maintain, and participate in designing network infrastructure for reliable and secure organizational communication
Partner to configure and handle network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot moderately complex issues
Suggest improvements to optimize and automate systems for efficiency and scalability
Support security measures to protect against threats and maintain compliance with industry standards
Implement and partner to design network solutions, including network diagrams and blueprints
Configure network devices to maintain performance and security
Conduct routine network maintenance and apply patches, service packs, and security configurations
Implement and partner to develop disaster recovery plans and network automation tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience
Ability to work in an underground mining environment
Configure and handle routers, switches, firewalls, virtual private networks, and software-defined networking
Perform network troubleshooting and diagnostics
Conduct network maintenance, updates, patches, service packs, and security configurations
Monitor and optimize network performance
Implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies
Implement and develop disaster recovery plans
Implement and develop network automation tools
Relocation assistance will not be provided
