Key responsibilities & impact

Support the ruminant and dairy business by selling directly to consumers or business purchasers, or indirectly through sales channels
Conduct face-to-face and remote sales with new and existing customers
Evaluate customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions
Identify potential customers and manage existing customer relationships
Conduct market research, pricing, sales and merchandising activities with guidance
Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends
Protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers
Disseminate favorable information about the organization and its products and services
Resolve moderately complex issues independently and escalate more complex issues
Provide technical support related to Diamond V postbiotic feed additives for animal health, performance and preharvest food safety
Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience
Minimum of two years of work experience in sales for ruminant nutrition, animal health or related field
Experience in the ruminants, dairy industry, feed, animal health or animal nutrition, with a focus on animal nutrition optimization, health or performance
Able and willing to travel up to 50%
Valid driver’s license in good standing
Preferred: minimum of six years of sales experience in animal nutrition, feed, animal health, additives or supplements
Preferred: experience with technical sales and ability to provide technical support to dairies, nutritionists and veterinarians
Preferred: sales experience in animal feed, animal health, additives and supplements
