About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and lead a team of Molecular Science Liaisons
- Manage the MSL team day to day
- Provide recommendations on national staffing plans
- Create and coordinate training and enablement plans
- Track MSL activity and customer interactions
- Serve as a conduit of information and feedback between the medical community and Caris Life Sciences
- Conduct medical and scientific education and support for the field organization
- Present clinical data and educational materials to physician sites and conferences
- Attend POA/Commercial pitch meetings and relationship development meetings
- Promote Caris Molecular Intelligence to physician sites across the United States
- Support and present at molecular tumor board meetings
- Read and understand scientific and technical literature in therapeutic oncology
- Assist with related duties and special projects for sales, POA, and marketing
- Train contracted speakers and serve as a field trainer
- Participate in regional speaking engagements, tradeshows, and sales meetings
- Review marketing materials to reflect the current molecular landscape
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ph.D., PharmD, or M.D. in a biological science related to pharmacology, cancer biology, or molecular and cellular biology or equivalent training and experience required
- 3+ years of management experience
- Prior experience in a commercial atmosphere such as Pharmaceuticals or Commercial Lab space a plus
- Prior field experience working with customers and/or sales organization a plus
- Ability to think creatively and initiate new ideas or solutions to business issues
- Independence of thought and sound judgment relating to business needs
- Demonstrated commitment, self-motivation, and drive
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, ability to work in a fast-past, competing deadline driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet for business use
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly
- Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check (applicable for certain positions) and reference verification
