About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop 8–10 account managers and molecular oncology specialists
  • Execute the region's overall growth strategy and corporate initiatives
  • Meet or exceed direct sales revenue targets
  • Develop regional sales strategies and strategic plans for the assigned territory
  • Establish senior-level relationships within key accounts
  • Build, train, and manage a sales team to meet volume and revenue objectives
  • Provide marketplace feedback, industry trends, best practices, and competitive insights
  • Build cross-functional relationships supporting product development, pipeline management, compensation plans, sales reporting, and revenue forecasting
  • Communicate regional revenue and client relationship information to the Area Vice President of Oncology Sales
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
  • Advise senior management on client and market concerns
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive products, services, technology solutions, and reimbursement/billing issues
  • Support physicians with ordering and interpretation of the CMI platform and QC report quality/accuracy, including possible access to PHI
  • Maintain assigned company assets
  • Submit required travel, activity, expense, and service reports
  • Provide meeting and trade show support
  • Meet assigned targets and goals
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of prior people leadership preferred
  • Understanding of the oncology, pathology and/or diagnostic market
  • High degree of understanding of physician client relationships, needs, and oncology service and technology solutions
  • Proven success with large, global, brand marketers and agencies
  • General understanding of healthcare-related business policies and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet for business use
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a complex, matrix, team-oriented, and collaborative environment
  • Proven abilities in problem management, process analysis, and root cause analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and automobile insurance meeting Caris requirements
  • Willingness to travel regularly, locally or on day trips
  • Ability to spend 60% of time in the field meeting clients and prospects
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background check, drug screening, applicable credit check, and reference verification
  • MBA preferred
