About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide functional oversight, strategy, and continuous improvement for technology solutions supporting global Controllership processes
- Advance BlackLine’s functional strategy and capabilities, including Account Reconciliations and Tasks
- Act as liaison across Finance users, Controllers, Record to Report, Finance Systems support, and Digital Technology
- Facilitate the transition of BlackLine account reconciliations to Central Finance (CFIN)-sourced data
- Handle reconciliation readiness, testing, data-feed updates, and implementation
- Coordinate Finance Systems deployments and process enhancements with segment Controllers and Record to Report teams
- Document business requirements and manage unit, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Maintain functional oversight over system configuration, application maintenance, and issue escalation
- Identify and execute process improvement and automation initiatives
- Define requirements, conduct testing, and track value realization
- Translate accounting needs into system and data specifications
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure accurate data flows between source systems and financial applications
- Provide backup functional support for Optro and custom Finance workflow solutions
- Drive standardization across global processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of related experience within a fast-paced global organization
- 3+ years of experience in public company accounting, public accounting, internal audit, internal controls, or supporting/implementing financial systems and business processes
- 3+ years of understanding of accounting principles, account reconciliations, financial close cycles, and internal control frameworks
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business preferred
- MBA or relevant professional certification preferred
- Hands-on experience supporting BlackLine or an equivalent account reconciliation system preferred
- Prior experience with Optro and/or SAP Central Finance (CFIN) preferred
- Exposure to project management, facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leadership as well as change management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset with an interest in technology
