About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Inspect and maintain air-conditioning and HVAC systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units
- Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, thermostatic controls, and liquid lines
- Service refrigeration equipment including refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps
- Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems
- Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system planning and design
- Maintain detailed maintenance records to ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations
- Identify and mitigate workplace risks
- Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards
- Provide expert commercial HVAC service in the field for Carrier customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs
- EPA Universal Certification
- Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb a ladder, and work on rooftops
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid and current driver’s license
- Must be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier
- Basic understanding of building automation controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax is a plus
