About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive commercial growth and achieve sales goals across Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island
  • Oversee all commercial opportunities
  • Ensure monthly and yearly sales targets are met
  • Manage the needs of engineers, contractors, and wholesalers to deliver outstanding customer experience
  • Serve as conduit between the field and internal Tech Support and Product Management teams
  • Engage with engineers to win specifications and make Viessmann the basis of design
  • Quote prospective opportunities and follow opportunities through to sale
  • Meet with Mechanical Contractors to ensure equipment is installed to specification and assist with questions
  • Build distributor relationships to ensure product availability
  • Conduct Lunch and Learns with engineering firms
  • Travel a minimum of 60% in the assigned territory
  • Report weekly on the status and development of Viessmann product sales
  • Participate in annual Viessmann Sales Representative meetings and product information seminars
  • Perform additional tasks as required during the business year

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field OR High school/GED with 2+ years of HVAC industry experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Up to 60% regional day travel
  • Hydronic Heating or Commercial HVAC industry experience preferred
  • Experience regarding Viessmann products preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, creative and systematic working habits, self-starter
  • In depth understanding of hydronic heating systems and their application
  • Understanding of heat pump technology and how it is applied
  • Competency with Microsoft software
  • Excellent interpersonal, language, and communication skills
