About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the primary customer-facing representative and promote the Carrier brand
Lead hiring for local Data Center technicians
Oversee technician onboarding, including safety orientation, training procedures, and device and equipment provisioning
Serve as union liaison and maintain positive relations with union representatives
Conduct job site safety inspections and organize quarterly safety meetings
Coordinate with the master scheduler to meet local customer staffing needs
Manage requests for tools, PPE, vehicles, and uniforms for field teams
Manage the fleet, including vehicle assignment, maintenance, and availability
Approve daily timesheets and travel requests
Oversee operations and support field teams
Forecast, monitor, and document financial performance against plan
Coordinate, prioritize, and resolve team issues
Optimize manpower, standard time, equipment, and energy usage to complete open work
Escalate critical and complex issues affecting the business
Manage the team according to established programs and objectives
Implement, monitor, and manage work quality
Respond to key customer complaints, conduct customer satisfaction investigations, and establish improvement plans

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma/GED
5+ years' experience in commercial HVAC and/or mechanical service operations, industrial equipment service, or other field service environments involving maintenance, repair, and technical service delivery
3+ years’ experience managing and/or training field service teams, including union technicians, with a focus on performance and efficiency
HVAC experience
Experience working with unions
Expertise in startup and commissioning of industrial HVAC systems
Understanding of data center reliability standards
Strong financial acumen: cost forecasting, margin attainment, and change order management
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to zero-incident safety culture and rigorous process execution
