About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Abound-related and building intelligence projects from onboarding, integration, and solution development through customer turnover
- Serve as technical lead on the project team
- Participate in internal and external meetings and provide technical expertise
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and provide technical consultancy for hardware and software
- Collaborate with company and customer stakeholders, project managers, and IT managers
- Assist with project scoping and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Coordinate customer installation and upgrade progress from start to finish
- Lead customer installation and upgrade meetings
- Open, track, and close completed projects using internal tracking tools
- Maintain proficiency with current and newly released Carrier software products and technologies
- Work independently with operating systems, databases, networking, firewall ports, and protocols
- Analyze customer sites and system requirements and recommend and implement technical solutions
- Identify and map BACnet points for consumption into the Abound platform
- Configure and troubleshoot integrated products and devices
- Diagnose and resolve network and integration technical problems on customer sites or remotely and provide reports to management
- Manage a pipeline of pre-existing and target account customers
- Design, operate, and implement features, processes, paradigms, and technologies supporting cloud-platform integration
- Contribute to architectural definition, technology evaluation, and best practices
- Build, debug, test, release, manage, and secure cloud-based or integration solutions
- Support diagnostics, troubleshooting, and operation across technologies and identify continuous-improvement opportunities focused on quality, performance, and security
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or Computer Engineering
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC systems, including AC package units, VAV air distribution, cooling towers, pumps, and building automation systems
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA; no visa sponsoring available
- Able to pass Background Checks to obtain Security Clearances
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of various HVAC systems, DDC controls and sensors, air compressors, pneumatic controls, life safety systems, generators, electrical distribution, and luminary
- Professional services consulting with B2B/B2E experience
- Experience working in a building controls setting/environment (BMS)
- Experience with cloud-based platform integration
- Knowledge of architectural definition, technology evaluation and selection, and engineering best practices
- Network Architecture, Network Configuration, and wired/wireless Protocols
- Communication and data transfer protocols, including MQTT, BACnet, SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, Web Services, and TLS
- API and webhook configuration
- Possible scripting using JavaScript, C++, or AI-aided tools
