About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead design and architecture of SAP Ariba solutions across Buying & Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance, and Ariba Network
- Serve as the top technical escalation point for complex cross-module and cross-system issues
- Lead expert-level root-cause analysis and permanent resolution of recurring problems
- Architect, develop, configure, and govern custom forms, approval workflows, catalog management, business rules, and reporting
- Design, deliver, and support Ariba integrations with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC via CIG, middleware, and APIs
- Establish integration standards and monitoring
- Own high-severity SAP vendor escalations and strategic vendor engagement
- Lead quarterly Ariba release cycles, including impact assessment, regression strategy, stakeholder communications, and change adoption
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, and business stakeholders to shape priorities and technical roadmaps
- Lead enhancement projects, upgrades, and rollouts from solution design through deployment governance
- Drive automation, self-heal, observability, incident reduction, and total cost of ownership optimization
- Mentor junior developers and support analysts; lead peer reviews and establish coding and configuration standards
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and knowledge base assets
- Ensure compliance with change management, SOX, security, and audit requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8–10+ years of hands-on experience supporting, configuring, and developing on SAP Ariba
- Demonstrated depth across multiple Ariba modules, including Buying & Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts, and SLP
- Experience leading Ariba–ERP integrations with SAP S/4HANA / SAP ECC using CIG, web services, cXML, APIs, and middleware
- Deep understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) and source-to-contract (S2C) processes, master data, and controls
- Experience leading enhancement projects or workstreams end-to-end
- Mentorship or technical leadership experience on a support and/or development team
- Expert-level analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and Jira Service Management
- Knowledge of ITIL-based support and change processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in SLA-driven, global support environments
- SAP Ariba certifications across multiple modules strongly preferred
- Scripting and development experience with SQL, JavaScript, Python, or Groovy preferred
- Experience with AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation in procurement platforms preferred
- Experience with Ariba Network supplier enablement, CIF, PunchOut, and supplier portal strategy preferred
- Experience leading quarterly release governance and CAB processes preferred
- ITIL Foundation required; ITIL Intermediate/Managing Professional a plus
- Experience supporting global user bases across multiple time zones and regions preferred
