Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain mission-critical software solutions for Building Automation Systems, focused on building automation controllers
Drive full-stack development across the software lifecycle using core Java
Develop software solutions using Agile methodologies and approaches
Participate in project planning by investigating solutions and providing estimates
Apply new technologies to advance the company’s product offerings
Use TDD to write unit and functional tests for quality and reliability
Debug and resolve software, hardware, and firmware interaction issues using diagnostic tools and methodologies
Evaluate problems, identify solutions, and translate findings into implementation tasks and plans
Support sustaining efforts through product knowledge and consultation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong Java and object-oriented programming skills
Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Angular, Ajax, JSP, Java servlets, React, and other web-based technologies
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience with software lifecycle management, including version control, build processes, and release management
Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation while critically reviewing and validating generated solutions
Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Experience with unit and functional testing
Analytical and logical reasoning
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment
