About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain a network of end customers
  • Build long-term customer relationships through active contacts and cooperation with internal and external parties for project management and sales
  • Prepare service contracts for new and existing customers and submit them for approval
  • Signal complaints and bottlenecks and undertake necessary improvement actions
  • Prepare proactive and reactive quotations
  • Research ships to identify efficiency improvements and provide customer advice
  • Realize service sales
  • Analyze market developments and customer needs to identify service product development and solution opportunities
  • Translate sales opportunities into sales-promoting activities and create management-approved strategies
  • Provide information, negotiate contract and sales terms, and close contracts/orders
  • Account for all projects
  • Implement high-level control systems and chiller plant retrofits with the controls and modernization/retrofit team
  • Evaluate commercial effects of plans and propose improvements to sales activities
  • Visit key and potential accounts
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts
  • Create reports and provide management information
  • Advise the Service Manager and Managing Director on policy matters
  • Identify departmental process gaps and bottlenecks and recommend solutions
  • Lead or carry out relevant projects and contribute to implementing results

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years of Commercial HVAC service industry experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally as required by business needs
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in maritime HVAC industry
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Carrier products and services
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the marine market and key customers
  • Commercial skills and good oral communication skills to maintain the network and negotiate during (customer) calls
