About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management
- Coordinate and oversee onboarding processes
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers on workplace concerns, policies, and HR matters
- Conduct and support workplace investigations
- Partner with leadership on employee relations and performance management
- Support employee engagement, retention, and culture-building initiatives
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data
- Collaborate on policy development, compliance audits, and HR process improvements
- Analyze HR data and trends and provide leadership recommendations
- Participate in talent development, organizational change, and continuous improvement projects
- Promote respect, accountability, and inclusion
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in human resources or a related role
- Strong knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations practices
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence at multiple levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of employment policies, procedures, and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Preferred: Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
- Preferred: Experience in construction, maritime, industrial, or multi-site environments
- Preferred: Familiarity with multi-state employment laws and regulatory requirements
- Preferred: Experience supporting organizational change initiatives or workforce planning
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Ability to view computer screens and printed materials with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via virtual meeting platforms
