About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee day-to-day program operations for the Adult Wellness Center under the Senior Services Director
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct daily service activities and operations
- Assign and supervise staff tasks and ensure adequate staff-to-participant ratios
- Conduct program tours and coordinate timely intake for new participants and families
- Coordinate therapeutic and recreational activities, monthly calendars, field trips, meals, snacks, and transportation
- Manage and monitor CACFP food service components
- Coordinate monthly service billing with the HCS Billing Team
- Maintain supply inventory, participant and service data, records, fiscal/billing systems, and workforce coordination
- Prepare program, statistical, and other requested reports
- Participate in participant care planning and assist the nurse with psychosocial assessments
- Ensure services follow participant care plans and participant files remain accurate and current
- Supervise, onboard, train, orient, and evaluate multi-level program staff
- Conduct monthly all-staff meetings and individual supervision sessions
- Provide consultation and direction on complex participant issues
- Participate in staff recruitment, interviewing, and hiring
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders
- Establish and oversee service and partnership agreements with Director approval
- Ensure compliance with Illinois Department on Aging requirements and Casa Central policies
- Support policy development, staff training, satisfaction surveys, outcome surveys, and annual work plans
- Monitor service utilization and coordinate continuous quality improvement
- Participate in agency Performance Quality Improvement activities and required trainings
- Report incidents according to agency and IDOA/MCO procedures
- Approve personnel timesheets and remain accountable for daily allowable activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, health or human services, physical education, or a related field from an accredited college or university; or Registered Nurse; or two years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in an older-adult program for each year of education being replaced, up to four years
- Prior experience working with older adult populations and/or the Illinois Department on Aging strongly preferred
- Prior supervisory and/or managerial experience strongly preferred
- May require successful completion of CCP management training provided by IDOA or its designee
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required
- Computer literacy required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Publisher, and Excel
- Minimum high school-level math skills required; college-level math skills strongly preferred
- Ability to accurately prepare and analyze fiscal and statistical reports
- Managerial/supervisory skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to travel to other locations throughout the city or state for professional development trainings, conferences, or other events
- Personal cellphone required and ability to respond during working and non-working hours
- Subject to drug and alcohol screening, aptitude testing, and skills testing
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where applicable
