About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Learn therapist-interface workflows, become familiar with the architecture, and ship initial improvements during the first three months
Own larger full-stack features from requirements shaping through implementation, testing, release, and iteration
Build and improve features across the Ruby on Rails backend and React/TypeScript frontend
Make technical implementation decisions regarding code structure, testing approaches, and incremental refactoring
Decide how to break down and deliver work within agreed priorities and engineering standards
Lead technical recommendations affecting shared architecture, other teams, or delivery commitments
Improve the therapist experience and the reliability and maintainability of the underlying software
Collaborate with Product, Design, a cross-functional engineering team, and a UX/UI Designer

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience building and operating web applications in production
Strong experience with Ruby on Rails
Experience with React and modern TypeScript
Strong understanding of relational databases, PostgreSQL, APIs, and testing
Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements and make sound technical trade-offs
Product mindset focused on intended outcomes
Judgement and independence to take work from an initial problem through to production
Professional working proficiency in English
Must be eligible to work in Germany and resident in Germany from the first day
Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available
